Engaging audiences with a multichannel approach
Motivating at-risk populations to think about vaccination isn't easy. Parents already have enough to worry about and teens think they're going to live forever. Novartis Vaccines needed new ways to engage teens, parents, and even healthcare workers about the diseases they could be exposed to and the protection they should receive. The old, conventional voice of authority was falling on deaf ears.
Our idea: We created multifaceted disease awareness campaigns that utilized everything from nursery rhymes to visceral disease-state images and stories to appeal to kids, parents, and healthcare professionals. Then we delivered those stories across multiple channels to find our audience where they live: in school, on the street, in the office, online, and even on their phones.
In taking a multichannel approach, Novartis Vaccines was able to educate and engage its audience—successfully gaining the ear of (and offering protective vaccination to) those most at risk.
